Reject an Expense Report
If you have the expense reports approvals workflow enabled, you can reject an expense report that does not meet the requirements for an approval. When you reject an expense report, all line items for the expense report are also rejected.
Prerequisites: The
Reject option is available in the
Approvals drop-down list if:
- You did not make changes to a record while the workflow state is In Review.
- The Reject Action field is not set to None for the current approval workflow step (on the Workflow tab in ).
- You have the access rights to reject a record based on the approvals workflow configuration.
To reject an expense report, complete the following steps:
- Open an expense report.
- Review the expense report and click .
- On the Reject dialog box, enter a comment and click OK.
- On the General tab of the Expense Report form, check the updated State and Step fields to verify that the record is rejected. A rejected record displays a Start state. Based on the configured approval workflow for the record, a rejected record could be sent back to the employee who submitted it.
